Account creation, first event, workspace setup
No. The Free plan is completely free — no credit card required. You can create your first event and invite up to 100 guests without entering any payment information.
After signing up, you'll land on your workspace dashboard. Click "New Event", choose an event type (wedding, birthday, corporate, etc.), fill in the basic details, and hit Create. You can always edit everything later.
Yes, in two ways. To share your whole workspace, open Workspace → Team members and invite them by email. They join as an Admin, Editor or Viewer, on any plan. To give someone access to just one event, such as door staff who check guests in, use Helpers & staff on that event. Helpers & staff is on the Pro and Business plans.
How to create events, schedule, event settings
Your Schedule lists each part of your event, such as a rehearsal dinner, a ceremony and an after-party at a wedding. You add and change them on the Schedule page. You choose who is invited to each part, so every guest only sees and replies to the parts meant for them. Free includes up to 3 parts per event, and paid plans have no limit.
Open Edit event and set the RSVP deadline. After that date, guests can no longer send or change a reply, and the RSVP page tells them RSVPs are closed. To reopen it, move the date later.
Click Publish on your event page. Before it can go live, your Schedule needs at least one part. Publishing uses one event credit (Free gives you two a year, and Plus and Pro add more when you buy them). Unpublishing and publishing the same event again does not use another credit. Once it is live, guests can open the RSVP page from their private link.
Yes. In event settings, set visibility to "Password Protected" and enter a password. Guests will need to enter it before viewing the event page.
Templates, customization, colors, fonts, branding
Inviterio includes 110 ready-made event page designs across 36 design families. The Free plan includes 54 designs across 17 families, with additional premium designs available on paid plans.
Browse by mood (serene, romantic, bold, playful, dramatic, whimsical, timeless) instead of just color. Each template in the gallery previews a filled-in sample event, so you can see exactly how it looks before choosing.
Every template ships with a built-in color palette and font pairing you can use on any plan, including Free. Fonts can be changed on many designs, and custom hex colors are available on the Plus plan and above.
Yes. Pro and Business plans can remove the "Powered by Inviterio" branding from the event page. Free and Plus plans keep the branding.
Your event page is the full RSVP destination — schedule, registry, directions, and the RSVP questions. An invitation card is a smaller, shareable image or PDF matched to your event's palette and fonts, designed to be texted or posted as the initial "save the date" — guests still click through to your event page to actually RSVP.
Cards export as a PNG or JPG image for texting and social posts, a print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks for professional printing, or a vertical Instagram-story image sized for sharing. All exports render exactly what you see in the editor.
Yes — every plan gets a front and a back page. Pro and Business unlock a third page for a details spread (front, details, back). Multi-page cards export together as one PDF for printing, or page-by-page as images for sharing digitally.
No. Start from any designed template — your host names, date, and details fill in automatically — then adjust text, photos, colors, and layout in a drag-and-drop editor with alignment snapping and undo. You never start from a blank canvas unless you want to.
Importing guests, private RSVP links, RSVP questions, responses
Each guest gets their own private link by email or text message. Tapping it opens their personal RSVP page. They do not need an account or a password.
Yes. You can import up to 1,000 guests at a time from a CSV file instead of adding each guest manually. Review your guest data before completing the import.
Check the delivery status on the Invitations page. If the email shows as bounced or undelivered, verify the email address and use the Resend button. You can also switch to SMS delivery if the guest has a phone number on file.
Yes. They can tap their private link again and change their answer any time before the RSVP deadline.
Yes. On every plan, the Reminders page has RSVP Reminders: choose when to nudge guests who have not replied, such as a number of days after the invitation or before the RSVP deadline. It stops by itself once a guest replies. Plus and higher also get Guest Journey Emails, which send updates like directions or schedule changes to guests who said yes. Business adds timing on the day of the event or a few hours before it starts.
On the event overview or the Invitations page, press Send a reminder to email everyone who has not replied yet (Plus and higher). On the Free plan, use RSVP Reminders for automatic follow-ups, or resend one guest's invitation from the Invitations page.
Yes. Seating charts are available on Pro and Business. You can arrange tables and venue areas, assign guests manually or use auto-assign, and export the finished seating chart as a PDF.
Delivery issues, spam, tracking, SMS
Email providers decide where messages are placed, so inbox placement cannot be guaranteed. If an invitation is marked as spam, the guest can mark it as "Not spam" and add the sending address to their contacts.
The Invitations page shows delivery activity for each guest, including sent, delivered, bounced, and recorded open activity when available. Email open tracking is not always detected because it depends on the guest's email client and privacy settings.
Yes. SMS invitations are available on every plan: buy an SMS credit pack, or choose Pro (150 SMS included with each purchase). Business includes 300 each month. Texts can be sent to US and Canadian phone numbers only. Guests receive a personal RSVP link by text and can respond without creating an account.
Budget setup, per-head costs, CSV export
The event budget tracker is available on Plus, Pro, and Business plans.
When you mark a budget category as "per head" (e.g. catering), the estimated total automatically recalculates as RSVPs come in. Set the per-head amount once and the tracker does the math.
Yes. Owners, Admins, and Editors with budget access can log expenses. Each expense records who added it, making it easy to audit contributions from co-planners.
Yes. You can export your event budget as CSV or PDF on plans that include the budget tracker.
Pricing, one-time vs subscription, credits, upgrades
Free lets you publish two events a year. Plus and Pro are one-time payments. Each one adds more events you can publish (Plus one, Pro three) and unlocks its features on your workspace for good. Business is a monthly subscription with unlimited events for people who run events often.
Your event data is never deleted, and events you've already published stay published and fully editable either way. Plus and Pro are one-time purchases with nothing to "downgrade" from — a plan feature (like the budget tracker) simply stays on your workspace unless it's reversed by a refund.
Plus and Pro are one-time purchases delivered immediately, so they're non-refundable, except for billing errors such as a duplicate charge. Unused SMS and email credit packs can be refunded from your billing dashboard within 14 days of purchase. See our full Refund Policy for details.
Yes. Share your unique referral link from Account → Referrals. The friend you refer gets a signup bonus and a discount on their first purchase right away. You earn a reward as your referrals convert to a paying plan — a free Plus voucher at 3 successful referrals and a free Pro voucher at 5. Check the referrals page for the current terms.
Team members, roles, security, 2FA
Go to Account → Security and turn on the two-factor authentication switch. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) and enter the confirmation code to activate.
Inviterio supports four workspace roles: Owner (everything, including billing and deleting the workspace), Admin (everything except billing — can also delete or archive events and manage members), Editor (build the event: guests, invitations, budget, seating, cards, and RSVPs), and Viewer (read-only).
Not yet as a self-service action — ownership stays with the account that created the workspace. If you need it moved to someone else, contact support.
Yes. On Plus and higher plans, set a custom subdomain (e.g. emmaandjames.inviterio.com) in your event settings instead of using the default generated link — easier for guests to remember and type.
Common issues, RSVP link problems, technical support
A guest can use their private link as many times as they like until the RSVP deadline. If it does not work, check two things: (1) the invitation was not cancelled, and (2) the RSVP deadline has not passed. If it was cancelled, go to Invitations, find the guest and press Resend to send a new link. If the deadline has passed, a new link will not reopen RSVPs, so move the deadline later in Edit event first.
Changes to event content may be cached for a few minutes. Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R). If the issue persists, check that your event is still in Published status.
Guests are soft-deleted and can be recovered within 30 days. Contact support with the guest's name or email and we'll restore the record.
